Changes made:

  1. Changed exterior facade to brick & masonry
  2. Changed Level 2 and Level 3 front-facing curtain walls to a sliding glass door with balcony and railing! Yay outdoor access.
  3. Changed Level 1 floor layout to include office (one of which has sliding door access to the outdoors, as well) and conference room space.

Description

Changes made:

  1. Changed exterior facade to brick & masonry
  2. Changed Level 2 and Level 3 front-facing curtain walls to a sliding glass door with balcony and railing
  3. Changed Level 1 floor layout to include office and conference room space

The changes I made to the Revit model were motivated by 1) providing more outdoor access to building occupants (for improved wellbeing) and aesthetics (for greater building appreciation - people care about things they love, so hopefully they’ll care about the building!). By adding sliding glass doors and railings to the 2nd and 3rd level overhangs, building occupants can enjoy to the outdoors, mingle with others, etc. without having to venture to the first floor to exit the building. When arriving to the building, occupants can be welcomed by a different, more traditional building facade made of brick and masonry and more appropriate for certain uses. Additionally, the design team and future occupants can more precisely understood the spaces’ uses with the addition of room tags and furnishings.
