Description

Enter a brief paragraph (5 to 7 sentences) describing the features of your proposed design that you'd like to highlight here...

My proposed structural design is straightforward, but it incorporates a unique tapered building form where each floor is dedicated to a specific function. I increased the amount of windows and curtain wall glazing on all levels to maximize natural sunlight and strengthen the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Structurally, I minimized interior columns to create open, flexible floor plates suitable for collaborative work and social areas. When longer spans are required, I plan to use trusses to maintain openness without adding vertical supports. The core, shafts, and ground-floor foundation are supported with strategically placed beams, while the remaining columns and beams follow a simple, efficient grid layout. Overall, this approach results in a clean, adaptable structure that aligns with the building’s daylight-driven architectural vision.
