Each core has two gender neutral restrooms. There are four restrooms for each floor. The doors were designed with the 36 width for ADA compliance as below.

The interior of the restroom includes one sink and one toilet. The width of the restroom is about 9 feet.

The interior walls are installed to separate two gender-neutral restrooms, and cold water, hot water, and sanitary pipes are installed in the room between the two interior walls.

image

Since the utility rooms are designed right next to each restroom, vertical cold water, hot water, and sanitary pipes are installed in the utility rooms. The amount of pipe can be minimized by designing restrooms and utility rooms adjacent.

image

To avoid the pip overlapped, two adjacent sinks for each restroom are installed with a little gap from one another. Both sinks are connected to the cold water and hot water pipe, which will be placed over the ceil.

image

The sanitary pipes are installed below the floor and each sink and toilet is connected to them.

The branch pipes are designed with 3’ diameter and the main pipes are 6’ diameter.

image

After designing the first floor’s restroom, all branch pipes are copied and pasted to the second and third floors since all restrooms are located in the same place along with the core. This design can minimize the pipes and, thereby, enhance water efficiency.
