From a biological point of view, I’m thinking about different systems in a building is like different

organs in human bodies.

The structure of the building is skeleton, which supports the huge body of the building. The water in a building is the blood, digestion, and excretory system. Electricity is the nervous system, and warmth is the respiratory system. Decoration is the appearance or skin. The alarm system is the body's stress system. A "healthy" building needs all different "organs" to work harmoniously.

Bones—Steel Frame

The steel frame is the “bone” of the structure.

Blood—Water Circulation System

The piping system, rainwater collecting system, or even flushing system consist of the blood of the building.

Electricity—the nervous system

Almost everything in a building needs electricity, it’s like the nervous system of human body to transfer the orders. Solar energy is a very clean and effective form for electricity recourse.

Decoration—the skin of a building

Here what I particularly want to mention is fantastic idea called “Green wall”. It is like human skin which can remove the pollution from the air, promote biodiversity and naturally control the temperature inside the building.

Alarm system—Sensing

Just as a person's body will give an early warning before getting sick, the sensing system will prompt people to take appropriate measures. (Fire alarm)
