There are many analogies that can be applied to buildings. Buildings can relate to both animals and plants. Like animals, buildings have a skeleton like support structure. These systems hold the building together. Further, buildings also have plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems that run through them to provide resources to all rooms. These rooms can be thought of as organs and the systems are like the cardiovascular and nervous systems.
An analogy between buildings and plants would be the photosynthesis process of plants. Plants absorb energy from the sun. Buildings can do this as well using solar panels.
