In this project, I have designed an extension to the existing engineering building. It extends the southern end of the building to increase room for additional workspaces, dining, leisure, and more. It also features additional access to different floors by means of stairs and elevators. The first floor features the collaborative workspaces, with desks, chalk boards, and a leisure area for study breaks. The second and third floors consist of the cafe/dining area and maker spaces, including 3d printers, storage, and other equipment. Alternative furniture arrangements are provided for each floor. This is a simple yet effective extension that focuses on practicability.
