Space Budget
My updated space budget Excel sheet is linked here:
I have put the areas for mechanical rooms, restrooms, elevators, stairs, and the patio in, and I still have 6464 sq. of space, which is good, because now I can do something cool with this extra space.
Building Layout
Since Module 5, I have changed the locations of some rooms to meet my design goals such as using natural ventilation and orientating the rooms to receive maximum sunlight.
For the first floor, the central part of the building (triangle portion) will ideally be naturally ventilated. The vertical opening for the spiral stairs serves as a channel that allows air to flow in, out, or through the building. The café, seating, and gift shop will also be in the triangle portion of the building. There is a patio outside the building, so people can eat their food while enjoying the natural view around the building.
Two exhibition spaces are planned at the north and south wings, and an education room is placed at the south wing. The reinforced concrete shear walls and shear core walls are also shown in the picture below, where the stairs, restrooms, and the elevator will be located. These walls’ locations will be the same on the upper floors. There are two elevators and three stairs in the building.
For the second floor, like the floor below, the central area will be naturally ventilated. I planned an open exhibition space on this floor which can serve as a gallery; also, there is a kid play zone in the central area. I placed two more exhibition spaces, two more education rooms, and a conference room on this floor. The education and conference rooms will have good natural sunlight during the day.
For the third floor, the central area will serve as a nice outdoor garden, while the north and south wings will be enclosed. The north wing will be used for administration, where private and open offices, storage rooms, and a conference room will locate. The private rooms will all have good natural lighting. The south wing will have another exhibition room and a small storage room.
Revit Model & Floor Plans
The link to my model is also put under the ACC Folder Link.
I used masses to help me determine the locations for the spaces, which really expedited my modeling process.

The space schedule generated by Revit is shown below. The actual area for each space is very close to the planned value.
