Description
My design of the research station consists of a large main room with a square footage of approximately 460 ft², a storage closet with a square footage of approximately 80.67 ft², and an ADA-compliant bathroom with a square footage of 63.83 ft. There are plenty of south-facing windows, as well as north-facing windows in front of the desks in the opposite corner to give the students a nice view (it has also been proven natural light increases productivity). The main work table is in the nearest corner to the door, which provides it two adjacent walls to hang whiteboards on, as well as being in an open floor plan to increase collaboration of anyone in the building. There is also a smaller back door between the closet and the bathroom to avoid having to walk all the way around the building.
