Scenario: You are a college student who needs to work on their thesis which is due soon, you go to the library to get it done.
Q1. When you walk in, there are many seating options, there is a board in front of the entrance which locates all the types of chairs you can sit on in the library, would that be helpful to you?
A. It saves time, yes. It also shows you lots of options. It lessens the stress of looking for a chair, less overwhelming.
Q2. On the chairs, there is a QR code that shows you how to sit on it, and how it ergonomically helps your posture. Do you think you will scan it?
A. Will scan it if it is a hard to understand type of chair, such as the cross legged chair. Some suggestions were to have indents or markers for where your feet are placed. Make it more easy to find, such as on the chair seat.
Q3. It is one hour into your work, and you get up to stretch, will you choose to find another option to seat at or will you stay, even if you are tired of sitting at the spot?
A. Due to convenience sake, they will stay because it is a hassle to change seats. Suggestion is to add a mobility aspect to the chairs. Some people like the seats because of where it is placed, not for the seat itself.
Q4. Any other suggestions?
A. Theres a lot of different joints and parts to the chairs which makes it hard to repair. To make it easier, have many of the same chairs in the same area so the person is allowed to switch seats if the one they have is broken.
