This tool returns relevant insolation and area calculations that can be used for optimizing gable roofed structures. The pitch of the roof and the rotation of the building can be optimized based on the building’s latitude.
I’ll call it Sun of a Pitch
Here are some expected results. They show the insolation with respect to pitch, the insolation/area with respect to pitch, and finally insolation with respect to rotation. Some roof pitches have a higher insolation/surface area. Rotation is critical for the solar properties of building. We can expect these outputs to differ slightly at different latitudes!
