I like to think of the structural elements of building that allows it to stand as analogous to the human skeleton. Like how bones holds our bodies together although unseen, a buildings steel, concrete, or timber structure serves as its bones. In that same line, the buildings facade is analogous to a humans skin, as it is what makes up its outside appearance.

Another example of biomimicry I think of in the built environment is in architectural details of buildings (i.e. the Esplanade Theatre in Singapore resembling the skin of the durian fruit). In this, we see how architects draw inspiration to create art from this naturally occurring fruit.
