In this exercise, I chose Steel-frame System because it allows beams to have longer span so it’s easy to avoid conflicting with floor openings such as elevator shafts, stairs or atriums. I placed some beams overlapping curtain wall’s embeds and also columns in the middle of the hallways. These conflictions between architectural design and structural design should be resolved through coordination tools such as BIM 360. In the term project, one option I can chose is to use a hybrid frame system of steel and timber in order to satisfy the satiability goal and the structural need.
