Final Prototype

After meeting together at Y2E2 during office hours, we spent a lot of time thinking about how we could improve the current bus station. It had been mentioned to us by Professor Colin on how the bus station may look 50 years later. With this in mind we thought of the following features: adding automated buses, and make the bus station go underground.

• Initially we all thought that this was futuristic and “cool” to have. However, a team member brought up an issue we have not considered, ventilation when underground, as that uses a lot of energy. Moreover, an automated bus is not a place, space, nor a building feature.

Therefore, all of our ideas went to scrap, and we decided to modify what we already have: adding signs on all four sides of the bus station, and adding a larger digital display.
