Results

  • Walls

Use 8 in concrete (with Supplementary Cementing Materials) with insulation and add siding to create aesthetic look.

  • Roof

R60

Layered terraces: green roofs, cafe and solar panels (canopy). Maximize PV area.

  • Floors and slabs

Use timber floors, both for embodied and operational carbon.

  • the openings/glazed surfaces
    • windows
    • minimize amount of windows, while still have day light: 15-30%

Have window height depend on space function: kid zone lower, office desk height, expo person height

    • Curtain walls
    • Inspiration: Withney museum in NYC, view on Statue of Liberty from Battery Park

    • skylights
    • Atrium in the middle, big enough to let light in until first floor.

  • any shading or sun control features

To avoid too high, shading can be added. The cantilever helps shade the second floor terrace .
