Description
This research station was designed with simplicity in mind. The box structure makes it easy to build for student volunteers with limited construction experience. The large, South-facing windows will provide a good amount of passive solar heat for the building. They are also operable, so users can control the temperature and air flow of the room. The building also has a quite spacious storage closet so students can find the materials they need to maintain the nature preserve. Desks line the windows so that students working can take in the views of the preserve.
