Description
Enter a brief paragraph (5 to 7 sentences) describing the features of your proposed design that you'd like to highlight here...
My initial office design was a large, twisting, spiral with no straight walls. To untwist the walls for the sake of simplicity would have resulted in a very boring blocky building, so instead I decided to design a whole new building. The most challenging part of this building’s structure were that there were a significant number of overhangs. The overhangs were too large to rely on a simple cantilever, so I ended up using diagonal columns to create truss-esque structures to support the overhangs. While this works, it’s definitely not the most visually appealing. I would be curious to know if there was a better way to keep the extra support internal, so the building’s shape isn’t obstructed.
