The Design Decision I Studies
For this design I considered a building set in a hot weather location where the sun hits the facade and the roof every month of the year. The reason was to be able to test the different options between Solar Potential for PV panels, Material Cost of the building, Energy Cost, and the distance between the building and 2 ponds in the area. The point was to analyze the BCR of the designs, taking in consideration that the higher the cost, does not always mean the worse it gets. In this case, the benefit cost ratio between the cost of materials and the savings in energy because of the roof's area is reasonable for the design chosen.
