Description
This design was inspired by me finding the “rectangle-blended” mass option and messing around with it. In all honesty, I have a lot of concerns about the structural modeling of this building, but I was having to much fun to change it. I’m a firm believer that you should start with crazy ideas and not limit yourself before you’ve tried something. That being said, the Revit software wasn’t a fan of all the curves, especially in relation to the doors.
Some noteworthy building features include that the north wall is solid for aesthetic variety, while the south and south-ish facing walls remain glass for passive solar heating.
The rooms (bathrooms and storage) also align across many floors, with the idea being that their walls would provide space to hide multi-story structural support.
The twirly stairs were just for funzies! :)
