Description
This space is created to serve as a functionable, yet environmentally sustainable, workspace from which researchers will have the tools, space, and ample available resources to conduct their projects. At just over 500 square feet, this structure comfortably sits seven people across three desks and a communal workspace for four. Housed within is an ADA accessible bathroom, a spacious storage room, and a long lab station for storing equipment. As there is no heating or cooling within this unit, there are numerous windows that stream natural light through the south-facing windows to ensure temperatures remain regulated throughout the year. To meet environmental codes, this building also has plenty of space atop the roof for solar panels to be placed, providing energy for the structure to operate on.
