When attempting to achieve low energy consumption, comfort and occupant well-being may be compromised, which may result in unhappy employees and lower work productivity due to discomfort.

In conclusion, while reducing energy use is ultimately a positive goal, it is imperative to consider a holistic approach that takes into account various factors to achieve a well-balanced and sustainable building design that will also keep building occupants happy.
