I start sketching a two story project on my iPad. I knew I wanted an infinity pool, a pergola with BBQ and a decking that integrates with the interior area with a glass folding panel system that hides on a pocket wall. I also want a floor to ceiling element to divide the open kitchen from the lounge, that’s why I considered an elevator instead of stairs. Although, I include an emergency stair with access to all upper floors to include a stair on the design as requested and for safety.

The storage room is equipped with cabinets and a stacked washer/dryer. The two car garage has a door that connects to the kitchen directly. The roof of both spaces is cover with solar panels to generate energy. Another sustainable measures were the windmills on the hill, the bike parking, the trees on the rooftop, front yard and backyard.

The private rooms are located on the upper floors. When you walk out the elevator on the 1st floor you find a big laundry wardrobe and a hall with two doors, one rooms is a studio equipped with a stationary bike, a sofa and a complete bathroom with an emergency door to the stairs. The other room is a guest room equipped with a bathroom and a wardrobe. On the 2nd floor you have the same hall but here are the Master Bedroom and another guest room. The Rooftop is the top level, it has railings for safety, and also because it was requested on the stairs, but as I specified an emergency stair, I put the railing on the rooftop and on the decking. The are sofas and benches to sit, talk and enjoy the view.
