  • Levels were added with increment = 10ft for all heights.
  • The Project Location was set to San Francisco.
  • The base constraints were set as following:
    1. image
    2. The rotation at top, mid-point, and base were set as fixed during the iteration, pi/2, pi/4, 0 respectively, therefore, the model has similar shape and the only different flexible parameter would be the height.
    3. For the mid height, formula H_middle = H_top/2 was set up and was maintained during the iteration.

Dynamo Graph Workspaces

  • The single parameter to be flex is the height of the model, ranging from 200ft to 500ft with an increment of 50ft, and the output is the gross floor area and gross surface area for further comparison and optimization.

  • The output table is output using ‘Data.ExportToExcel’ block and the result is shown below:
