Goal 1: Energy Efficiency

  • Measure:  solar fraction, lighting energy consumption
  • Targets:
    • solar fraction: minimum: 60% - desired: 70%
    • lighting consumption: save 20 - 30%
  • Strategies:
    • solar panels on roof
    • large open space at every level (for natural light to come in)
    • light shelves
    • fibal optic illumination

Goal 2: Environmental Friendly Construction

  • Measure:  Reduced construction noise/time/emissions
  • Targets:
    • Minimal: Reduce avg construction noise by 10dB, Reduce construction time by 10%, Reduce emissions by 30%
    • Desired: Reduce avg construction noise by 15dB, Reduce construction time by 20%, Reduce emissions by 50%
  • Strategies:
    • Set noise barriers, replace diesel tools with electrical tools
    • Use pre-made structures
    • Use EV for shipping materials, and workers commuting

Goal 3: Water Management

  • Measure: rainwater/greywater utilization rate ; per capita water usage
  • Targets:
    • 60% (minimum) - 75% rainwater/greywater utilization rate
    • 20 - 30 gallons/person/day
  • Strategies:
    • Rainwater Collection
    • Greywater Reuse
    • Water-saving toilets
