Why am I creating a prototype?

The type of feedback that will be most helpful for refining and improving my product idea is:

• Would you benefit from taking less time hanging clothes?
• Would you prefer a sustainable design even if it was slightly more expensive?
• Do you like the overall aesthetic of the design?

Prototype Features

What product features will I prototyping? And why? What do I hope to learn from testing this feature?

• A folding mechanism to make the hanger easier to hang and unhang close with. I hope to learn if people would actually use and benefit from saving time hanging clothes.
• A design that is simple so that it is easier to manufacture and thus cost effective. I hope see if the simple and cost effective strategy will work well enough to be a viable product.
• An elegant design that is striking but not overwhelming to draw peoples attention in retail stores. I hope to learn about peoples tastes and what makes a clean looking product.

How will you prototype and share these features with others to get their feedback?

I plan to create a functional 3D model in Onshape to share these features and get feedback eventually working up to a 3D printed version and eventually a wooden CNC’ed version.
