For this weeks project, I tried to push creating form profiles by playing between a mix of curves and lines. That means, a lot of my flexible parameters were things like Arc starting angle, ending angle, radius, sweeping angle, and center point location on the profile’s respective plane.

I was particularly drawn to forms that had interesting twisting features so any flexible parameter that tweaked angle of rotation created desirable variations.

Exporting the values to excel is helpful because the data can be graphed, manipulated, studied and linked to other relevant data. For example, graphing the data can help you identify which parameter has largest change in specific parameters (i.e. the most effective entry point). Or, In excel, it can be linked to information like materials costs where you can estimate roughly how expensive given iterations are.
