What are the principal advantages of creating a conceptual design model using masses before diving into the detailed design and building element modeling?
The main advantages of creating a conceptual design model using masses before diving into the detailed design and building element modeling is that it allows for more flexibility to change the design of the model in a short period of time. You also get a clear overview of how the building is going to turn out which is helpful in order to visualize things like square feet as well as what type of materials/how much material we may need for such a building.
Can you think of any examples of a real building around the world that most likely was created by exploring the form using conceptual mass models?
