Nature not only inspires architectural design in terms of shape. The internal regulation of a building sometimes acts like a living entity, responding to changes in the external environment. Like the sun-tracking shading system determines the best position of the curtain by tracking the sun position and real-time sunshine data of the sensor, then makes corresponding lighting control strategy for the target building to automatically cope with the change of daylight.

Also, there are some examples of some kinds of bionics.

Skin Bionics

Inspired by organic skin, the surface can control incoming light by adjusting permeability, as well as the temperature difference between inside and outside. Facades adjust by increasing or decreasing the number of voids scattered throughout the surface, just as pores in the skin expand and contract.

Structure Bionics

It demonstrates the morphological adaptability of the system by generating spatial arrangements that are more complex than simple shell structures.
