Brief Overview:

Introduction

This tool aims to help users quickly and easily create a basic building model, including grid lines, columns, beams, walls, floors, and a roof. Users can set various parameters according to their needs to achieve flexible building design.

Features

  1. Create vertical and horizontal grid lines
  2. Create columns and beams at the intersection of grid lines
  3. Create exterior walls around the grid
  4. Create floors on each level and a roof on the top level
  5. Add a railing wall on the ground floor

Steps

1. Set Grid Parameters

  • Vertical Grids: Set the number of vertical grids
  • Horizontal Grids: Set the number of horizontal grids
  • Grid Spacing: Set the distance between grid lines

2. Select Building Levels

  • Levels: Set the number of levels for the building

3. Choose Component Types

  • Column Type: Choose the type of columns
  • Beam Type: Choose the type of beams
  • Exterior Wall Type: Choose the type of exterior walls
  • Floor Type: Choose the type of floors
  • Roof Type: Choose the type of roof
  • Railing Wall Type: Choose the type of railing wall to be set on the ground floor

4. Run the Tool

  • Run: Execute the tool to generate the building model

Additional Notes

  • Grid Geometry: Once you have determined the grid geometry (such as its shape), you can modify other parameters such as the number of levels or component types. However, you cannot change the grid size. If you need to change the grid geometry, you must delete the existing building model and create a new one, either by reloading the file or starting a new file.
  • Component Display Issues: If some components do not display correctly after running the tool, try running it again. Occasionally, due to a large number of components, the display might not be complete. Re-running the tool should resolve this issue.
