For exterior walls, I tried to mix glazing and wood at the same time:
I used EIFS on Mtl. Stud with Gypsum Wall Board finish to have a white effect under wood slats.
On this, I customized wall slats with the following characteristics:

I don't have any skylights.
For shading the mentioned Exterior Blinds or Shutters can be utilized. I want to have a big portion of my exterior walls in glass, so I need to think more how can I achieve maximum natural lighting with appropriate shading and sun control features.
