💡
Please share your comments on 3 of the following Points to Ponder questions. (Choose 3 of the questions below.)

Give examples of how the building information for a specific location in the project needs to be filtered for different audiences and purposes.

An information sheet for customers will need to include furniture, fixtures, and casework elements but will not need to include labels for doors and windows. On the other hand, an information sheet for constructors will need to include the building shell without the interior elements such as the furniture, fixtures, and casework. There should only be the wall, door, window, curtain wall, floor, roof, and stair elements.

Should your design ideas always be conveyed through photorealistic renders?

  • How does the level of detail in the rendering and its presentation affect the perception of stakeholders reviewing your design?

Conveying your ideas through photorealistic renders will help provide stakeholders with a better image of what the final project of the house will look like. It brings more life to the house and can allow the stakeholders to build a stronger connection to the house when reviewing the design.

How can schedule views be used to assist with procurement and model-based estimating?

Schedule views will be beneficial to designers when they need to calculate the total area for surfaces. This will give the designers a better estimate of how much the total cost will be for the materials used. This can allow clients and stakeholders to be able to see the design in a more proper and accurate design project.
