"Sustainability to me means doing our best to protect the Earth for future generations."

  • When it comes to sustainability what do you care most about?

"I care most about making sure that our natural resources are here for future generations."

  • What are they currently doing in their home and in society to be sustainable?

"To be sustainable I use reusable shopping bags, reusable produce bags, sort waste properly, shop sustainable companies, turn the water off when brushing teeth and washing dishes, have energy efficient appliances, use LED lights, adjust thermostat settings throughout the day, hang-dry some clothes, and try to share clothes with other family members or shop at second-hand stores."

  • What would they like to be able to do to be more sustainable?

"I would like to have my house run by solar panels, have an electric car, and overall lower my carbon footprint"

  • Do you have any reservations / concerns about sustainability?

"Most North-American's are over consumers and are more focused on material possessions then environmental awareness. I also worry about the destruction that we are creating through our abuse to natural resources and how it will effect future generations. "

  • Are you more likely to choose businesses that are more sustainable than its competitors?

"If businesses offer equal products and services and promote themselves in the same manner, I will happily use the sustainable product. I just do not tend to go out of my way to compare."
