While modeling the supply ducts, I ran into various challenges that I had to work upon. Firstly, when viewing the spaces model, I saw there were spaces created outside of the architectural model. I ultimately was able to ignore these since they did not effect the building’s rooms characteristics based on the space schedules. Another issue I encountered was connecting the venting from the upper level to the lower level mechanical room. I did this by running vents flush to the room next to the mechanical room. I would suggest connecting the mechanical room to both levels to make this more seamless. I was able to meet spatial design goals by constructing the HVAC venting below the structural elements as tightly as possible without overlap. I added in diffusers based on the ventilation needs of the various rooms. The loads of the building can be more sustainable by increasing shading in areas that have large sunlight. A centralized mechanical room would better distribute air across the entire building.
