Cannot Save Cloud Revit Models to an ACC project

Cannot Save Cloud Revit Models to an ACC project

If you’re having difficulties saving your models as Cloud Revit models in your ACC project folder, follow these steps to help debug the problem:

  1. First, check with the teaching assistant to be sure that you’re using the same Autodesk ID that has been added to our ACC account and project.
    • The Autodesk IDs that you provided to the teaching assistant have been set up with access to the Docs, Model Coordination, and Build services in ACC. So you should be able to save your models as Cloud Revit models to your ACC project.
    • But, there’s always the possibility of a typo or a software glitch. So, try these next steps to try to isolate the problem.
  2. Next, check to see if you can see your team's ACC project when logged in using your Autodesk ID.
    • Open the Revit Home Screen.
    • image
    • Click the Autodesk Projects link in the left navigation bar, then confirm that CEE 222 - YOUR_TEAM is listed as one of your projects.

  3. Next, if you can see the CEE 222 - Central 2025 project on your home screen, let's test if you can save a Revit model to that project.
    • Create a new Revit model or open one of your existing ones.
    • Save the model on your local hard drive.
    • Open the Collaborate (tab) > Collaborate tool, then choose the In the cloud option.
    • Verify that CEE 222 - Central 2025 is available in the Save as Cloud Model dialog.
    • If the project is available, try navigating to the Project Files > Cloud Revit Models folder, then save your test model there.

  4. As a last resort, if you can see the project on ACC, but for some reason the system is preventing you from saving your file, let's try creating a new Autodesk ID using a different email address — for example, a gmail address.
    • Create a new Autodesk ID using your gmail address.
    • To authorize the Revit application to use this new Autodesk ID (which is not associated with an educational email address), we'll to switch to a different licensing method that uses a serial number instead of your email address to validate your subscription.
      • Ask the teaching assistant for a device-based license serial number and product key.
      • Pull down the username menu, and choose Manage License...
      • image
      • Click the link that says Change license type.
      • Select the option to Enter a serial number.

      • Enter this Serial number and Product key.
