Strategy/Gridlines

Gridlines follow walls when possible.

Framing around circulation elements and atrium.

Kept beam spans on the smaller side for now, but I will explore glulam properties and potentially remove some gridlines in the future.

Materials & Framing System

• Columns: Glulam Southern Pine
• 8.5x8.25
• Beams: Glulam Southern Pine
• 8.5x15.125 — larger beams
• 6.75x11 — smaller intermediate beam system

Left some framing on the roof for now to explore the idea of an overhang over the 3rd and 4th floor terraces.
