List your three or four guiding design goals using this format for each goal:

Goal 1: Energy Efficient

• Measure: Based on the Energy Star Score  https://www.energystar.gov/buildings/benchmark/understand-metrics/how-score-calculated
• Targets:
• min - 50(average building)
• Target - 75(considered energy efficient)
• Strategies:
• Sensors on doors and windows to control HVAC
• Senors on LED lights
• Solar panels
• Lots of big windows to promote natural lighting

Goal 2: Water Conservation

• Measure: How much water used

• Targets:
• min - 10% ( less water compared to a similar building)
• Target - 20% ( less water compared to a similar building)
• Strategies:
• Depending on area( rain water capture )
• Low flow toilets, sinks, (maybe showers if I include them)
• Underground irrigation

Goal 3: Greenery

• Measure: # of trees and Sqft
• Targets:
• min - 5 trees
• target - 10 trees
• Sqft - min - 750
• Sqft - target - 1200
• Strategies:
• Have a set space on my land carved out for greenery
• use underground irrigations
• put the greenery in a area with a lot of sun

Goal 4: Tall Floors

• Measure: Ft from floor to ceiling
• Targets:
• min - 12 ft
• Target - 15ft
• Strategies:
• Give enough sqft to have tall floors while also maximizing the area
• Make the first floor the tallest floor
