Two exhibition spaces that have truly captivated me are the Windhover Contemplative Center and the Exploratorium. The Windhover Center, with its minimalist design and focus on natural elements, provides a serene environment for reflection and introspection, and cements, symbolically and literally, its existing infrastructure and encompassing institution. Its integration with the surrounding landscape, including the labyrinth at its entrance and the Papua New Guinea sculpture garden vis-a-vis, enhances the contemplative experience. The Exploratorium offers a dynamic and engaging space for learning about science, particularly the solar system, and the natural world through interactive exhibits. The hands-on approach fosters curiosity and a deeper understanding of scientific principles. Its site by the pier and SF bay contributes greatly to its placement at the top of my list.
