  • Place isolated foundations at the base of a few columns at Level 1.
    • Open the Level 1 - Structural plan view.
    • Open the Structural Foundation: Isolated tool.
    • Choose the Footing Rectangular: 72” x 48” x 18” isolated footing type from the Type Selector in the properties palette.
    • Click on the centerpoint of a few structural columns to place isolated footings at those columns.
  • Place isolated foundations at the base of additional columns at Level 1 using the At Grids placement mode.
    • Open the Level 1 - Structural plan view.
    • Open the Structural Foundation: Isolated tool.
    • Choose the Footing Rectangular: 72” x 48” x 18” isolated footing type from the Type Selector in the properties palette.
    • Turn on the At Grids multiple placement option.
    • Select several intersecting grid lines.Click the Finish checkmark to place isolated footings at those grid intersections.

  • Place isolated foundations at the base of the remaining columns at Level 1 using the At Columns placement mode.
    • Open the 3D - Structural view.
    • Open the Structural Foundation: Isolated tool.Choose the Footing Rectangular: 72” x 48” x 18” isolated footing type from the Type Selector in the properties palette.
    • Turn on the At Columns multiple placement option.
    • Click on the base of a few remaining structural columns to place isolated footings at those locations.
  • Place wall foundations at bases of structural walls at Level 1.
    • Open the 3D - Structural view.
    • Orbit the view to make the base of the structural walls surrounding the elevator and stair shafts visible.
    • Open the Structural Foundation: Wall tool.
    • Choose the Bearing Footing - 36” x 12” wall foundation type from the Type Selector in the properties palette.
    • Click the base of each of the structural wall segments to place wall foundation elements.

  • Place a slab foundation at Level 1 (the ground floor level) to replace the floor element.
    • Open the 3D - Structural view.
    • Orbit the view to make the floor element at Level 1 visible.
    • Open the Structural Foundation: Slab tool.
    • Choose the 6” Foundation Slab type from the Type Selector in the properties palette.
    • Use the Pick Lines tool to select the edges of the floor element.
    • Click the Finish checkmark to place a slab foundation at the floor element location.
