      Achievable through:

    2. ≤2% WWR - Western Walls
    3. ≤15% WWR - Eastern Walls
    4. ≤4% WWR - Northern Walls
  3. Building Envelope + Lighting & Power Choices
    1. image

      Achievable through:

    2. ≤ 0.6 W/sf for plug load efficiency
    3. ≤ 0.3 W/sf for lighting efficiency
    4. Having daylighting & occupancy controls
  4. Building Envelope + Lighting & Power Choices + Photovoltaic Panels
    1. image

      Achievable through:

    2. 90% PV surface coverage
    3. 30 year payback limit for solar panels
    4. 20.4% panel efficiency

From this exercise, it is clear that some adjustments have a larger effect than others. Having solar panels appears to reduce the EUI of the building by the most, whereas adjusting the building envelope has the least impact on EUI. Nonetheless, a multitude of changes are needed in order to meet net zero energy, and it is incredibly difficult to reach that goal by altering just one aspect of the building.
