Key Findings from the Interview

What does Sustainability mean to you?

Simply, the ability of the environment and people to survive. Helping maintain balance on the planet.

Is there anything you are doing right now to live a more sustainable lifestyle?

He says he and his wife do a lot of recycling, and have planted many trees especially this year after redoing his whole property. Unfortunately, he concedes he is "not great" at sustainability considering the vehicle he drives.

Is there anything you think should be done to promote sustainability in larger society?

Coming together to confront global warming, we've already established world commissions to do this, but the most important thing is for people as a whole to mobilize to protect the environment.

Do you have any concerns about our ability to be a sustainable civilization moving forward?

He is quite concerned, as he believes there are too many people who simply don't believe in sustainability and climate control as noble causes, which are things that we as a society should be uniformly behind. Unfortunately, there are a great deal of social and political roadblocks to getting to that point.
