Ash

Hello everyone! I’m Ash (he/they) currently a freshman. I’m interested in exploring sustainability from a STEM perspective although I am not sure how exactly yet… I am currently looking at the Environmental Systems, Civil and Sustainable Architecture majors as future possibilities. I have no industry experience at the moment but look forward to having that opportunity. I went to high school in Stockton after being fortunate enough to go through middle school in the better fundended Bay Area. This experienced revealed the lack of accessibility and equality of quality in STEM subjects and motivates me to pursue them at Stanford. I took Design Your Stanford last quarter and greatly enjoyed it, I thought it would be neat to apply Design thinking to issues regarding sustainability. My goals for this course are to continue exploring my area of interest and hopefully narrow it down more through class content and interactions with classmates/instructors.
