Why is it important to accurately model the land features of your project site with a toposurface?

It is crucial to accurately model the land features of your project site primarily because safety is a top priority when it comes to construction/modeling. In the case that walls or floors do not properly line up with the toposurface, there is a chance the building will be inhabitable for residents. This is where the void space features comes in handy. It is an accurate tool that can assist architects in designing stunning homes while simultaneously complying with safety requirements.

When designing a project...

It can certainly vary if a building or builder should to adapt to the site. For example, in the case that a builder wants to further sustainable practices of adapting to a given environment, they should design the building in a way that adapts to the natural environment. In the case that the building does not exist out in nature, say in the middle of an urban city, it is crucial that builders adapt to the space allocated to them.

What are the advantages of stacking the levels of a multi-story building vertically?

As I was designing, I quickly realized that stacking levels vertically is a great way to maximize space. Since we were only given a finite amount of square feet to build on, the only option we had to utilize the space while also accommodating for other features was by building vertically. This also gives both architects and landscapers the space to develop their own parts of the home. For example, building vertically can provide more places for architects to design interior spaces while landscapers can maximize outdoor space permitted in the plan.
