Your Recommendation for the “Best” Design Option
After comparing my three proposed designs, I chose to go with the third option. I rejected the first option quite quickly because it seemed to have the poorest daylight potential and sun hours, since the shape of the building meant that the back part of the structure doesn’t receive much sunlight. I also preferred the shape and height of the third option, because it looks the most like a traditional office building. According to the analyses conducted in Forma, Building #3 seems to have the best daylight potential and sun hours, with sun reaching nearly all faces of the building. Also, it was easiest to create a staircase for option #3, due to its rectangular shape.
