My design centers the role of natural light, providing the scientists with front facing, floor to ceiling windows. This allows for a warmed and lit area for them to occupy. In the rear, are an adjacent storage closet and bathroom. This designs features an L shaped floor plan which provides space for the 8 foot instrument bench/sink. This bench is kept out of natural light, allowing for consistent artificial light—useful in reading instruments and minimizing glare.
