Your Recommendation for the “Best” Design Option
As recommended in the check-in session, I chose my first proposal as my proposed design model because it had the simplest geometry to bring to Revit. After looking at my analyses, though, it seems that all of my proposals have very similar analysis results. I think this may be because I oriented all of my buildings to face the water view mostly. In my daylight potential analysis, from the orientation I chose, they receive a lot of sunlight because there aren’t any buildings nearby to produce shade. In the sun hours analysis, my chosen proposal one seems to receive a lot of sun on the roofs, and similar to all of the other proposals, the walls receive a lot of shade. In the solar energy analysis, since my chosen proposal 1 has the largest roof area that receives a lot of sunlight, I think it wins out as the “best” design option.
