The Engineering and Architecture faculty have decided that, in light of the rapidly expanding capabilities of digital fabrication technologies such as 3D printing, a number of labs dedicated to the exploration of this technology at the building scale should be the focus of the expansion of the Engineering building. In order to showcase this new technology to passers-by (or more likely, those viewing images of the building from the exterior!), the exterior walls will have the option of being curtain glass, if the client agrees.
