With a simple extension and minimal demolition, my design's sole purpose is to provide more space for students. The third floor is an open space (literally) used for food, drinks, and socializing while enjoying the view of the campus as well as possibly doing work. Having this open space also allows for socializing with medium sized group in an era of COVID. The first floor also lacks myriad of interior wall with movable furniture that can be rearranged for poster sessions. The second floor's main purpose is small group private meetings, but it still have open space for collaboration and working. There are also multiple doorway to access the classroom and chairs near the classroom for hanging out before and after classes.
