Description

My proposed design for the research station adopts a sloped roof that contributes to the reduction of environmental loads. The sloped roof allows solar panels to be exposed to more sunshine, which results in generating more electricity. To block sunshine from the south in summer, the roof owns an overhang in the south side. On the other hand, in winter, large windows in the south receive much sunshine to keep the room warm without air conditioning. Upper windows positioned in the north side facilitate window flows entering from windows in the south. Sunshine from the upper windows also lights the workplace and meeting area through a whole year.
