For the structure, I made a custom wood wall. I would like to design the structure with timber. I tried to keep a reasonable proportion of window to wall ratio to have better thermal insulation. Currently, only the two half circle structures have angled roofs towards the south for better surface area for pv panels, but based on calculations I may make the front lobby/office building have an angled roof as well. I liked the large amounts of glass for the cafe, making it feel very natural with all of the sunlight it will receive. The roofing will be a light reflective material and all of them, except for the cafe, covered in pv panels. The buildings try to maximize natural lighting opportunities to reduce the need for artificial lighting during operating hours. I tried to keep structures relatively thin, save for the open office, so that the natural light can reach across rooms. I may redesign roof and skylight opportunities for the lobby/office building as it would currently require artificial lighting. The open structure of the campus makes it easier to control room width for better reach of natural lighting.
