I would like to only have one/two floors for my building to maximize roof area for PV panels. The NREL building is a great example of utilizing PV panels on the roof.
I want to have a garden at the center of the building in an open courtyard to promote green spaces. The Getty Center has one of my favorite garden spaces.
The Caltrans District 7 Headquarters is my favorite building in downtown LA, primarily for its exterior that makes the structure seem very light and almost floating. The facade is intelligent in that it opens and closes the windows like Y2E2. I would like to include a similar use of a “skin” on the building. As well, I am a large fan of the sharper angles the building uses to break up its rectangular exterior.
I love the open air design and large wall pictured left at the Hawaii Preparatory Academy Energy Laboratory. Having a section of my structure be open-air would be great to include too.
