Below are the links to my space budget spreadsheet and my Revit model. My space budget spreadsheet contains fairly detailed descriptions of my thought process regarding the general building layout, but I will highlight a few points below.

https://acc.autodesk.com/docs/files/projects/96f8eb0f-46d0-4f91-a236-0ea912f00020?folderUrn=urn%3Aadsk.wipprod%3Afs.folder%3Aco.XdjiEQpNT0q82utcOdxaGw&entityId=urn%3Aadsk.wipprod%3Adm.lineage%3A02XqjmblQye82cLGfapMlQ&viewModel=detail&moduleId=folders

First, I started with bubble diagrams for each of the two levels, which are shown below. I liked the idea of having the building core in the middle so it would be easily accessible from anywhere in the building. It also does not need natural light, so putting the core in the middle allows other spaces to use daylight more effectively. The exhibits are the largest spaces, and therefore, the only places they really fit were on the left side of the building. I wanted the cafe to have a nice view of the lake, so I put it on the east side of the building. I am planning to have some outdoor seating outside the cafe. Because the cafe and kids zone will be the noisiest areas, I put them next to each to allow the other spaces to be quieter.

Overall, I tried to have most of the classrooms and public areas on the first floor or on the west side of the second floor. This allows the offices and conference rooms to have their own section of the building. I am also planning to put a terrace on the second floor, wrapping around the south and east sides of the building. This will allow the occupants to have some nice outdoor space and to get a good view of the lake.

I tried to have the corridors be as efficiently laid out as possible to avoid any wasted space. I also spaced the two stairways to be far enough apart that they would serve different parts of the building, while providing each occupant with the required proximity to an exit. Currently, there are two ways to enter and exit the building: through the lobby and through the cafe. It might be worth considering adding additional paths of egress, but I do not think it is absolutely necessary.

Next, I created a rough layout of the building, including egress paths and a space schedule. All relevant screenshots are shown below. I mainly focused on layout, so floors/roofs/terraces/windows have yet to be modeled.
